Shape-Shifting the DCU: Clayface - Are We the Odd Ones Out?

Father-daughter duo Brian and Jordan break down the highly anticipated Clayface movie, DC's newest installment of the James Gunn takeover.

A visionary creative team brings Batman’s most tragic foe to life, exploring a Hollywood actor obsessed with perfection who morphs into a literal mud-shifting monster. But we're not sure this one hit the mark for us. We typically keep our movie reviews as positive as possible, but we can't deny how let down we were by this one! Alas, we try to keep it well-rounded and we're glad others loved it.

How does this standalone villain story set itself apart from others in its superhero subgenre? Is DC finally finding its footing, or is it another gamble in an unpredictable cinematic landscape?
